This year the Open Shopping Center brings together more than 160 establishments during this first week of July. There their visitors will be able to enjoy an Augmented Reality Hyper-Experience in Teruel.
Vive La Vaquilla campaign with the five senses
During the Fiestas del Ángel, Teruel gathers a large number of visitors. That is why the Merchants Association of the Historic Center of Teruel has wanted to launch thecampaign "Vive La Vaquilla with the five senses". It is a project in which Augmented Reality technology is the protagonist.
"What will the bull feel when they put the scarf?" many people from Teruel ask themselves. A question to which it has wanted to give an answer through its collaboration with T-Zir and the acceleration program Aragón Open Future.
Augmented Reality Hyperexperience in Teruel
As winners, we have been in charge of developing an Augmented Reality App. With it we wanted to reproduce an act as characteristic of the festivities as is the laying of the scarf. However, this time the story is told from a different point of view, as it is recreated from the perspective of the bull and the scarf.
With this App, any visitor can focus with their Smartphone or Tablet on the posters distributed in the different associated businesses.
Also, this Augmented Hyper-experience is divided into three different interactions. For this purpose, three posters have been created through which to immerse oneself in the same story told from three different points of view.
Objectives of the campaign
With the introduction of this technological solution, two objectives have been sought:
- To attract a younger public to the stores of the Teruel Open Commercial Center
- To encourage the different points of sale by incorporating innovation and technology in their establishments.
In addition, we also wanted to achieve greater visibility and dissemination in the main message of the campaign: "Enjoy the holidays as ever, but taking care of them as always". A message that is repeated every year with the aim that all citizens and visitors are respectful with public facilities during the Fiestas de La Vaquilla.
The digital media Eco de Teruel has perfectly reflected this collaboration in the following report:
No doubt, a clear example of how the incorporation of new technologies constitutes a claim with which
- To attract new audiences.
- To project a current and innovative image.
