Magic Leap unveils some unknowns

Magic Leap reveals some unknowns these days.

We have been hearing this name for more than a year, it is a US startup. It receives support from large companies dedicated to technology, such as Legendary Entertainment and Google. It is a startup company. It superimposes computer-generated 3D images on real-world objects. It does this by using the projection of a digital light field indicator into the user's eye.

The curious thing is that until this week, Magic Leap has limited itself to showing videos of the possibilities it will offer with augmented reality. However, it had never unveiled any device. It all seems so incredible that it has been questioned and accused of being a set-up.

Magic Leap seems to beat HoloLens

Last April Magic Leap founder Rony Abovitz unveiled that it was an optical system that creates the illusion of depth. With this system our eyes are able to identify appropriate distances according to what is projected. They could be confused with what Microsoft offers but even the creator says that HoloLens are far behind them.

After all the speculation about the device to be used, it seems that the secrecy surrounding Magic Leap begins to disappear. It's due to the publication of a patent regarding its virtual reality headset. The patent, published Tuesday at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, shows the possible design of the device. It would be a helmet that covers the entire top and side of the head, and on the front it would have a visor...

However, the VP of Product has hinted that this design might not be the final one. While the patent doesn't reveal much about its possible functions, last April they shared a video showing what it will look like and how.
