Nautilus VR, let's get to know marine species on the seabed

Nautilus VR

Juan Barambones is the CEO of Remotte Labs. It is a short, but effective company dedicated to making "the most innovative products with the most innovative technology." So far, after less than a year as Remotte Labs, they had developed a remote control for the ill-fated Google Glass. In addition to a tourist, leisure and commercial guide in the form of an App based on their ibeacon technology. A few weeks ago they surprised the general public by presenting Nautilus VR. It is the first underwater virtual reality headset.

In Search of Species

Juan Barambones, the creator of this innovative headset. He himself says the idea came from talking to a friend at Remotte Labs. A few months ago, he was working on something related to virtual reality when this colleague returned from a diving vacation. They talked about how spectacular it was to see the seabed. Then something happened. The colleague asked Juan Barambones if there was anything that merged virtual reality with the underwater world. Negative. There Nautilus VR was born.

Nautilus VR underwater virtual reality device

Nautilus VR is a virtual reality headset designed to be used in small pools as the perfect place to recreate underwater marine environments, achieving an unbeatable immersion. As its creator proposes, this headset can be used both for individual entertainment and to treat phobias, use it as a complement to a rehabilitation treatment and make them more bearable...

Its mechanism is simple: it consists of apair of lenses -as each of the models that we have been detailing in the blog- a waterproof hermetically sealed housing and a snorkel vent. What's more, to play content and view it on Nautilus VR, you simply download the content to your smartphone and insert the device into the headset's slot. No more, no less.

Challenges are being overcome almost before we knew they existed. Technology pushes us beyond our limits as a species. But always, every time we take a step forward, whether thanks to technique/technology or the mere observation of a singular individual, we do so with an eye on the essence of it all: life; composed of earth, fire, air and water. Four basic elements that keep us alive. That continue to inspire us.
