Technology and innovation in an interactive stand for trade fairs
The Piscina & Wellness trade fair, held in Barcelona, is a must for companies in this sector in Spain, being a key place to approach new customers and generate business. The participation of Fluidra, leader not only in Spain but globally, had to highlight and demonstrate this superiority it has in the market.
To do this, they decided to build a stand with an area of over 1200 m2 in which they could show all the star products and novelties of its different lines of business. A stand that presented a sustainable character, demonstrating Fluidra's commitment to the environment, through the design with natural, ecological and reusable materials.
As a differentiating touch, Fluidra decided to rely on the Hyperexperience of DeuSens to implement technology in the promotion of one of its most significant novelties, the Zodiac Vortrax 7700 iQ, a new model of intelligent pool cleaner for public pools. And to show the innovation of this new model, from DeuSens we were in charge of making a 3D video presentation of the product, as well as an Augmented Reality experience and a holographic projection that were included in the interactive stand of the fair.
3D product presentation video
The first of the Hyperexperiences of this project consisted of making a product presentation video that was made entirely using CGI, i.e. computer-generated images. Our team was in charge of the 3D modeling and the complete animations, both of the project and of the scene.
Subsequently, they were also in charge of the editing and postproduction necessary to achieve the best possible result. The international scope of the fair caused that the production of the video was made in 4 different languages: German, Spanish, English and French. The final result pleased Fluidra so much that they decided to enlarge the space to show the video and use it later on their website, included in the product sheet of the Vortrax 7700 iQ.
Use of Augmented Reality in the stand
Fluidra's interactive stand also included an Augmented Reality Hyperexperience in an ephemeral construction that simulated a pool filled with water. Next to this structure was a device with a camera pointing into the pool and a large-format screen.
Viewed with the naked eye the pool contained only water but by looking at the screen, which showed the image captured by the camera and virtual elements superimposed thanks to Augmented Reality, visitors could appreciate how a 3D animation of the Vortrax 7700 iQ moved around the inside of the pool and cleaned the dirt out of the pool.
Visitors who approached the pool were amazed by the Augmented Reality HyperExperience as they saw on the screen the bottom cleaning robot cleaning inside the pool and later verified that in reality the pool only contained water.
3D holographic projection with fans
Finally, we were also in charge of creating a holographic animation of the Vortrax 7700iQ that allowed visitors to see the assembly and disassembly of the robot in a loop, thus being able to appreciate all of its parts in detail.
These holograms were projected by means of holographic fans, so that when the light fell on the moving blades, the reflection generated showed the optical illusion of the 3D animation created in a floating way, as if it was produced in the air without any kind of support.
