To recreate in an immersive way through Virtual Reality what an air cab ride through the city of Barcelona would be like.
At the forefront of sustainable aerial mobility
In collaboration with Crisalion Mobility, we developed an innovative Virtual Reality experience for the Meta Quest 3, which presented their eVTOL Integrity aircraft concept, a sustainable solution for the mobility of the future.
The project allowed users to experience first-hand a virtual journey through the sky of Barcelona, simulating an aerial tour with Crisalion's service. This experience was designed to highlight Crisalion's commitment to innovation in aerial mobility, focusing on offering a fast and ecological solution for transportation in congested urban environments.
The objective of this development was to create an immersive experience that not only highlighted the potential of its eVTOL aircraft as a means of transportation of the future, but also its integration with the urban landscape of a city as emblematic as Barcelona. During the tour, the user was able to appreciate how this new mobility concept fits into the vision of a more sustainable and technologically advanced city.
Combination of real and virtual imagery
One of the main challenges of the project was the perfect integration between real images of the city of Barcelona and the 3D model of Crisalion's eVTOL aircraft.
To achieve this, we used a combination of 360º images captured from the air of some of the city's highlights, such as the Sagrada Familia, Camp Nou and the Olympic Port, and virtual elements created specifically for the simulation.
The body and cockpit of the Integrity aircraft were fully modeled in 3D by our team, recreating in detail both the interior of the vehicle and the flight experience. Looking through the aircraft's windows, users could observe real views of Barcelona, achieving a perfect fusion between the real and the virtual. This combination of elements provided a level of realism that made the experience immersive and believable, eliminating the barriers between reality and simulation.
Virtual Reality to promote products in an immersive way
This Virtual Reality simulation, shown at the Farnborough International Airshow 2024 in front of more than 70,000 attendees, not only served to showcase the technological capabilities of Integrity aircraft, but also as an effective tool to promote Crisalion Mobility's services in an innovative and immersive way.
The use of Virtual Reality allowed them to present their vision of air mobility in a much more engaging way than through traditional marketing methods.
By offering an immersive experience, users were able to interact directly with the concept of the eVTOL aircraft, visualizing what it would be like in a real urban environment. This type of development not only allowed Crisalion Mobility to differentiate itself in the market, but also to connect with its target audience in a more emotional way, conveying the importance and impact of its products in a unique way.
