Its commitment is focused on natural products from the origin, starting with the control of animal feed, the care of livestock and the guarantee of food safety at all stages: birth and breeding, cutting, processing and preparation of meat products and charcuterie.

Betting on digitalization at Alimentaria 2022

As part of the Alimentaria 2022 trade fair, which was held from April 4 to 7 in Barcelona, the Costa Food Group meat holding company was present at Intercarn, the most important meat products trade fair in Spain and one of the most important in Europe, to showcase its latest developments in production, quality and innovation across its entire product range.
 
Seeking to surprise and attract the attention of the fair attendees, Costa Food Group decided to offer
 
A Virtual Reality Hyperexperience to its customers in the presentation of its production and commercial activity.
 
This Hyperexperience was conceptualized, designed and developed by the DeuSens team. A new example of the collaboration that unites both companies and demonstrates Costa Food Group's commitment to innovation, not only in its production processes, but also in its business strategy.
 

What was this Virtual Reality Hypersexperience?

From DeuSens, in constant collaboration with Costa Food Group, we were in charge of creating the complete Virtual Reality HyperExperience, both the design and 3D modeling of the virtual environment created, building it from scratch to adapt it to the corporate image of the brand, as well as the development and programming of all the functionalities and user interactions with the virtual environment through the Virtual Reality glasses used, which in this case were the Oculus Quest 2.
 
The user, when putting on the Virtual Reality glasses, was teleported to the virtual world of Costa Food Group and appeared in the center of the large corporate space created. Within this virtual world users could easily move around an immersive multimedia environment, play integrated videos on different screens distributed throughout the room or learn more about the brands that make up the company. Visitors also had "at their fingertips" some of their products modeled in 3D, allowing them to hold them and even get more information about them.
 

Generating branding and innovation in the meat sector

About 3,000 exhibiting companies came together at Alimentaria 2022. A fair where capturing the attention of visitors was essential and where the public's first impression made the difference between wanting to know more or moving on. And in this aspect, our Virtual Reality Hyper-experience played a key role, which was a differentiating factor to highlight the Costa Food Group stand and generate an innovative, pioneering and different brand image.
 
All those attendees who came to put on the Oculus Quest 2 and enter the virtual world of Costa Food Group, were surprised by the fidelity of the recreated products and the ability of this technology to "trick" our senses and make us participate in an alternative reality, generated entirely by computer, but that certainly feels totally realistic.
