During the 26th and 27th of October Zaragoza became the European technology capital thanks to the celebration of the first edition of the Blockchain Expo & DeFi Congress. A unique event, organized by the Aragon Blockchain Association and the Feria de Zaragoza, which brought together more than 1200 accredited attendees and had the support and participation of recognized technology companies at national and international level.
Two days full of technology and innovation in which converged the conferences on blockchain and decentralized economies during the first day, and the conferences on Metaverse and Web 3.0. during the second day. In addition, the sponsoring companies had their own exhibition space during the two days, where they were able to show attendees the present and future of the technologies that are revolutionizing and will revolutionize our lives in the future.
At DeuSens, as an official sponsor of the event, we had our own exhibition stand where visitors could live the Hyperexperience in first person and learn more about technologies such as Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Metaverse and a few more surprises.

The DeuSens booth at BDZ 2022
As official sponsors of the event, we at DeuSens had our own exhibition space where we were able to show attendees some of the technological solutions we make for our customers.
A great opportunity to show the Hyperexperience to all those interested and to discover to them the world of infinite possibilities that the use of immersive technologies, such as Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality, opens up to them.
Augmented Reality with our FunMirror
Our Augmented Reality photocall, FunMirror, was one of the great attractions that we introduced in our stand. When passing in front of it, attendees could see their image on the screen modified with virtual elements superimposed with Augmented Reality.
No doubt, seeing oneself on the screen as a sumo wrestler, playing a DJ or riding a motorcycle, among other things, left no one indifferent and everyone wanted to learn more about how this solution works.
In addition, our FunMirror allowed them to take a special souvenir photograph, another feature that also generated great expectation among the attending public, downloading it directly to their Smartphone after scanning a QR code.
Virtual Reality Hypersexperiences
The first purpose with which DeuSens was born was to create Virtual Reality Hypersexperiences for companies, and for this reason, one of the technologies that defines us could not be missing in the stand.
At our booth at BDZ 2022 we made available to attendees two Virtual Reality glasses, model Meta Quest 2, with which they could live some of the latest Hyperexperiences that we have created using this technology.
For many of them it was the first time they had tried this technology and their amazement was at its maximum. They were not only surprised by the feeling of realism generated but also that the interactions within the virtual world could be performed directly with their own hands, without using any type of controller or command.
One of the latest features that we have incorporated into our developments, which improves the user experience and increases the overall satisfaction when experiencing this technology.

Motion Capture and MetaHuman avatars
The big surprise we introduced at our BDZ 2022 booth was the Motion Capture technology applied in hyperrealistic MetaHuman avatars. Using a specialized motion capture suit, all the movements made by our partner Pedro were replicated by the avatar in real time.
How does this technology work? The suit incorporates a multitude of inertial sensors that detect the movement of the different parts of the body of the person wearing it. In this way, connected to the PC, it is able to transfer the information collected by the sensors to the scene of the MetaHuman avatar and this virtually recreates all the movements and even the facial gestures reproduced by the user wearing the suit.
Attendees were surprised to realize that all the movements made by our colleague Pedro were replicated by the avatar in an amazing way. A technology that accelerates the production of virtual videos and 3D animations, and is widely used in the film and video game industry to create all kinds of content with virtual characters.
Conferences and Workshops: Metaverse and Extended Reality
Another major attraction of the congress for the public was the presence of more than 50 speakers, national and international, experts in the technologies covered by the congress. A great opportunity to learn more about Blockchain, Metaverse, DeFi, Web 3.0. and Extended Reality from professionals who daily shape these technologies and work to leverage them for the benefit of society.
The congress was packed with conferences and workshops, and among the more than 50 specialist speakers, including our CEO and co-founder, Álvaro Monzón, who participated in the first round table of the second day and also had his own space to give a workshop on the different technologies that Extended Reality encompasses.
Round table on Metaverse and Web 3.0.
The round table dedicated to Metaverse and Web 3.0. brought together 5 great professionals from the technological world, including Álvaro. Together with José Luis Núñez from Telefónica, Coty de Monteverde from Banco Santander, Sergio García from Imascono and Daniel Valdés from Outer Ring, they discussed the current possibilities of this new technological trend and how it can revolutionize our lives in the future.
Workshop: Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality
In the afternoon it was the turn of the more specific workshops and Alvaro had the opportunity to give one on Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality; how to distinguish them, what they are for, what are the strengths of each one, what is their relationship with Mixed Reality and the Metaverse.... Undoubtedly, the public could solve some of their main doubts about these technologies and discover their practical utility in the business environment through success cases made by DeuSens.
It has been a pleasure to support, collaborate and participate in an event that has positioned Zaragoza as one of the capitals of technology and innovation at national and European level, demonstrating the capacity that we bring together the companies of Zaragoza in the technological field.
Thank, once again, the organization, formed by the Blockchain Association of Aragon and the Zaragoza Fair, for the effort and work done to make this great event possible and for inviting us and counting on us. We are hoping that this first edition of BDZ will be consolidated in the future with editions of even higher caliber and quality that will continue to boost local talent and put it on par with the rest of Spain and Europe.
