How to make augmented reality for museums
The Hiperdino Hyperexperience arrived last November 7 at the Elder Museum of Gran Canaria. Thanks to the collaboration of HMY and Grupo Dinosol we have been able to reach the Canary Islands.
This is an Augmented Reality Hypersexperience for museums that can be visited during the coming months.
In the words of Grupo Dinosol, this is what happened at the opening:
Presentation of Hiperdino in Museo Elder
"Grupo DinoSol has set up a real HiperDino supermarket on the top floor of the Elder Museum of Science and Technology. This has been possible thanks to the collaboration of leading companies in the sector such as YUDIGAR Canarias and DJ3 Canarias. These are companies that work with HiperDino in the day-to-day running of the recent installations that the supermarket chain is carrying out in the Canary Islands.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mr. Pedro Ortega, Regional Minister of Economy, Industry, Trade and Knowledge; Mr. Javier Puga, CEO of the DinoSol Group; and Olivia Llorca, Director of Marketing and Communication of the company. They highlighted the importance of working on the continuous evolution of the business model. In addition, they also talked about how technology has played a fundamental role in the transformation of the shopping experience."
Old Neighborhood vs Modern Technology
"The supermarket presents in its exhibition the technological and social improvements that have been incorporated in the last century. All this in an area where you can compare the Old Quarter vs Modern Technology. This is the name of the exhibition.
During the experience, whoever wants to approach will also be able to enjoy novelties, such as Augmented Reality for museums. So the AR will accompany the viewer throughout the visit. In it, Papa Dino will explain individually to each visitor the peculiarities of each section. In addition, visitors will also be able to learn about these technological improvements and their advantages, both for HiperDino employees and customers."
What will you find?
"Basket elevator, nebulizers, new freezers, special materials for bakery, lighting, electronic labels... These are some of the improvements that have been implemented in the last year in HiperDino establishments. This is a chain with establishments spread throughout most of the islands. So it is a chain that has a large presence and importance in the islands.
This exhibition can be visited during the usual opening hours of the Elder: Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 20:00 hours. In addition, at the end of the visit visitors will be able to take pictures with the dinos in a nice photocall. All this thanks to Augmented Reality for museums!"
