Virtuix Omni increases virtual immersion for users, as described by its manufacturer -Virtuix- as the "first virtual reality interface to move freely and naturally in your favorite game". Omni takes virtual reality to the next level. It allows you to position yourself and traverse virtual worlds with the natural operation of your own feet.

This creates an unprecedented sense of immersion that cannot be experienced sitting down. Omni is not only the first, but also the most compact, the easiest to assemble and the most affordable gaming system in its class. All this makes it the benchmark, for now, for virtual immersive platforms.

Innovative projects

In addition to the foot platform, Virtuix Omni has designed a number of add-ons to enhance the experience. This is a stabilizing harness, similar to those used in mountaineering. As the harness is attached to the waist and legs, it increases the safety of the dive and prevents possible injury to the user.

Secondly, the company has created shoes whose specifically designed sole reduces friction. It is also coupled to the grooves of the platform so that it can more faithfully transmit foot movement information to the device.

Finally, from here we want to highlight that this project was unveiled on the Kickstarter platform, which we have talked about on some other occasion. It is the No. 1 platform worldwide of crowdfunding. From this platform also came the Virtual Reality Oculus Rift.

The Omni project aimed to raise $150,000. Finally, on July 23, 2013, the project was able to be carried out thanks to the economic contribution of 3,249 people. They added a total of $1,109,351 to the Omni project.
