Interactive installation at the Museum of the Spanish National Football Team | Project for the RFEF
Connecting with the public through innovative technology
In a world where technology is constantly redefining the ways to interact and connect with the public, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) relied on DeuSens and Integra Technology to create a unique and memorable experience.
With the aim of celebrating the historic achievements of the World Championships won by the men's national team in 2010 and the women's national team in 2023, a technological solution was designed that fused innovation, creativity and emotion. This project not only paid tribute to these sporting successes, but also allowed fans to live an unforgettable moment by "posing" alongside their sporting idols in an immersive and authentic way.
Interaction with Augmented Reality and volumetric video
The interactive experience developed by DeuSens and Integra Technology consisted of a totem equipped with a touch screen and a high-resolution camera, designed to capture the attention and participation of the public. The protagonists, Álvaro Morata and Olga Carmona, were recorded using 360° volumetric video, an advanced technique that allowed them to be recreated with surprising realism.
Through Augmented Reality technology, these volumetric images were integrated in real time with the environment captured by the totem's camera. This allowed users to stand next to the players and simulate being physically present, creating a photograph that seemed to blur the boundaries between the real and the virtual. The result was a unique experience that combined cutting-edge technology and emotion, offering fans an indelible memory.
Augmented Reality in sport: when technology connects fans with their idols
Sport is emotion, identity and belonging. And technology, when applied well, amplifies all of that. This interactive Augmented Reality installation at the Spanish National Team Museum proves that it is possible to create genuine moments of connection between fans and the icons of Spanish football, breaking through the screen barrier and bringing the experience into the real world.
Beyond the emotional impact, projects like this have a direct effect on brand perception: the RFEF positions itself as an innovative institution that invests in memorable experiences for its fans. A commitment to technology that does not seek to replace the emotion of sport, but to amplify it.
