Digitization of services in the Horeca sector
Companies and brands have been adapting the way they communicate with their customers to the existing technology at all times, evolving with each technological leap that occurs. In the Horeca sector, dedicated to catering and with a marked traditional character, digitization has occurred less rapidly than in other sectors, but despite this, technology has also taken on a relevant role, revolutionizing the way of offering certain services to its customers.
A good example of this fact was this project carried out for Cafento, in which through the creation of a 2D configurator, we managed to automate, and therefore streamline, the process of ordering decorative merchandising, a customized service offered by Cafento to its customers depending on the products they buy.
What has been the evolution generated with this project?
For years Cafento has offered this service by dealing directly with its customers to specify exactly what type of decorations they could offer them, depending on the products purchased, what design they liked best and what size they wanted. This process began by talking directly with the customer to offer the service, then it was necessary to show the different decorative elements and possible designs, after this the exact size needed by the customer was specified and finally the corresponding order was placed.
After the realization of this 2D configurator, this process has been automated, making each customer with a specific ID and password, can access the "Barista Zone" of Cafento and choose the decoration they want. When accessing the configurator, the system automatically offers only the corresponding options, depending on the products purchased, and after making your choice, allows you to configure the selected decoration according to the size you need. Finally, the system generates the order form with the necessary information automatically, which is sent to Cafento directly through its ERP, as the 2D configurator is synchronized with it.
In addition, this entire process is done in the browser itself, in web format from the Cafento site and without the need for external downloads of any kind. Its use has allowed Cafento to save time and costs during the ordering process, as the order is placed through the 2D configurator, instead of through one or several conversations with each of the customers.
