Interactive technology to showcase the retail potential of the future
HMY, a leading company in equipment solutions for the retail sector, decided to create a corporate showroom in which to show potential customers how their proposals can transform commercial spaces. To achieve a real impact, they relied on DeuSens as a technology partner, with the aim of incorporating advanced digital experiences in the exhibition environment.
The challenge was to provide content and functionality to a large format videowall, integrating both management tools and innovative interactive experiences that show the potential of technology applied to the point of sale. The solution had to be versatile, impactful and, above all, easy to use and update by the HMY team.
Content, interaction and personalization in a single system
To guarantee autonomy and flexibility of use, a customized CMS platform was developed from which the HMY team could upload, manage and program the content to be shown on the videowall. This platform allowed to include corporate videos, PDF presentations and other visual elements in a fast and intuitive way.
In addition to this platform, there was a mobile app, connected to the CMS and the videowall, which served as a control center. From the app, the staff could manage in real time what content was displayed, facilitating the adaptation of the showroom to different types of visits, presentations or events.
The entire infrastructure was designed to ensure fluidity, connectivity and reliability in the showroom environment, allowing for a continuous, uninterrupted experience, completely under the control of the HMY team.
Experiences that connect technology and creativity
To reinforce the experiential and innovative character of the space, two interactive dynamics were incorporated that connected directly with the visitors:
- Kinect camera interaction and particle silhouettes: through a Kinect camera integrated into the system, a real-time experience was created where one or more users could see their silhouette represented on the videowall by moving particles. These particles reacted precisely to their gestures and movements, generating an eye-catching visual interaction that invited participation and experimentation.
- Personalized posters with generative AI: An AI-based creative experience was also implemented, in which users could take a picture, choose a theme (such as sports, movies or video games), and generate a personalized poster with their image. The poster was displayed on the videowall and could be downloaded by scanning a QR code, offering a unique and sharable souvenir.
These experiences not only showed the technical capacity of the showroom, but also provided an emotional, creative and participatory value, aligned with new trends in experiential retail.
Technology transforming retail
The installation developed by DeuSens in HMY's showroom demonstrated how technology applied with a clear purpose can become a strategic tool for the retail sector. Thanks to the combination of autonomous content management, interactive experiences and real-time personalization, HMY managed to add value to its exhibition space and offer an innovative image connected to new forms of consumption.
The benefits were evident from the outset:
- Increased ability to personalize commercial visits.
- Increased emotional involvement of visitors thanks to interactivity.
- Improved brand recall through memorable experiences.
- Agility in content management without the need for external technical support.
In addition, this project showed that technology not only provides visual impact, but also facilitates the communication of messages, reinforces the commercial proposal and improves the user experience. In a context where the physical point of sale competes with the digital environment, proposals like this allow retail to become an experiential space, where visitors not only see, but also live the brand.
