Virtual Reality for disease prevention
Heart failure, diabetes, chronic kidney disease? Three pathologies that affect the human body more than we think and that the company AstraZeneca wanted to reflect in the "Get Ahead" campaign, which took place in its 'Health Test Store' in Madrid during March 12, 13 and 14.
Together with Atrevia, we participated in this awareness campaign by carrying out a Virtual Reality experience that allowed an immersion in the human body to give visibility to the different symptoms, causes and effects that these diseases have on our body, with the aim of raising public awareness of their seriousness.
Creation process, key techniques and tools
From DeuSens we got down to work and developed a 360º version of the human body, giving the user the opportunity to undergo a completely immersive experience through Virtual Reality glasses. The person could see the relationship that different organs have with each other, as well as the consequences that certain irresponsibilities can have on them.
Thanks to a careful 3D modeling and animation process, we developed realistic effects so that any user could understand in detail the processes that cause these diseases in the human body and how important it is to be aware of how to take care and protect it.
Innovation as a fundamental pillar of the campaign
Of course, the functioning of the human body is a complex subject that can sometimes go unnoticed, but thanks to the Hyperexperience achieved with Virtual Reality we achieved extra visibility, thus fulfilling the main objective desired for this important AstraZeneca campaign.
We were able to receive first-hand positive feedback from users who, in general, were surprised by the sensations of realism and immersion achieved through Virtual Reality, categorizing it as a very positive tool for teaching, showing and raising awareness about health, more interesting and surprising than the use of mere videos or other types of demonstrations.
In this way, we demonstrate that Virtual Reality continues to permeate society in many different ways, confirming that its uses and purposes are increasing and that the technological solutions we develop can fit into any type of company.
