DeuSens represents the Spanish gaming industry in Gamescom LATAM 2025

Del 30 de abril al 2 de mayo, São Paulo acogió una nueva edición de Gamescom LATAM, el evento de referencia del sector gaming en Latinoamérica. Una cita ineludible para los profesionales de la industria, que este año contó con la participación de DeuSens, con la representación de nuestros cofundadores Álvaro Monzón y Álvaro Antoñanzas, quienes acudieron como parte de la delegación española de ICEX España, Games From Spain y Audiovisual From Spain.

 

From April 30 to May 2, São Paulo hosted a new edition of Gamescom LATAM, the reference event of the gaming sector in Latin America. An unmissable event for industry professionals, which this year was attended by DeuSens, with the representation of our co-founders Álvaro Monzón and Álvaro Antoñanzas, who attended as part of the Spanish delegation of ICEX Spain, Games From Spain and Audiovisual From Spain.

What is Gamescom LATAM and why is it relevant?

Gamescom LATAM is the Latin American edition of the renowned international videogame fair Gamescom, originating in Germany. Held in São Paulo, Brazil, this fair has established itself as the most important gaming industry event in Latin America, attracting thousands of attendees, including developers, publishers, investors and industry enthusiasts.

The 2025 edition, held in the Anhembi District, marked a milestone by exceeding all expectations. With a record attendance of more than 130 thousand visitors, the event evidenced the growing interest and expansion of the video game market in the region.

One of the highlights of this edition was the integration of the BIG Festival, focused on independent games, which took center stage at the event. This merger allowed greater visibility for indie developers, facilitating connections with publishers and the general public.

In addition, the fair was attended by influential industry figures such as Shuhei Yoshida, who gave talks on development and innovation, and renowned companies such as Nintendo, Bethesda, Warner Bros Games and Valve, who presented their latest developments and offered networking opportunities for industry professionals.

A través de nuestra división especializada DeuSens Gaming, continuámos nuestro plan estrátegico para llevar nuestros desarrollos en Realidad Extendida (XR), experiencias gaming interactivas y entornos multijugador gamificados a nuevos públicos y contextos.

La asistencia de nuestros cofundadores, Álvaro Monzón y Álvaro Antoñanzas, no solo representó a DeuSens, sino también al conjunto del talento innovador español, compartiendo pabellón con otras empresas seleccionadas por las instituciones nacionales para mostrar la calidad y creatividad del sector audiovisual y del videojuego en España.

 

The presence of DeuSens was part of our international expansion strategy, with the aim of strengthening ties with local studios and establishing new avenues of collaboration in the Latin American market. Through our specialized division DeuSens Gaming, we continue our strategic plan to bring our developments in Extended Reality (XR), interactive gaming experiences and gamified multiplayer environments to new audiences and contexts.

The attendance of our co-founders, Álvaro Monzón and Álvaro Antoñanzas, not only represented DeuSens, but also the whole of the Spanish innovative talent, sharing pavilion with other companies selected by national institutions to show the quality and creativity of the audiovisual and videogame sector in Spain.

LATAM market opportunities and trends

During our stay at Gamescom LATAM we were able to see firsthand the enormous potential of the Latin American market. We were particularly struck by the strength with which the local indie scene is growing, thanks in part to the integration of the BIG Festival within the event. Seeing more than 90 finalist games from 71 countries, with a strong representation from Latin America, confirmed to us that there is plenty of talent and a strong desire to innovate in the region.

It was also very revealing the interest in technologies such as Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality, areas in which DeuSens has been working for years. Events such as the Pokémon GO live activities within the fair made us see that there is a very receptive public to this type of immersive experiences, both from the user and development side.

At the networking level, we found a very interesting balance between the B2C focus of the fair and the professional contact opportunities. Continuing to foster relationships with large gaming companies and platforms such as Roblox and Fortnite, participating in technical talks from companies such as Valve or getting to know first-hand how top publishers work allowed us to validate our approach and detect new lines of collaboration. In addition, we noticed a lack of content in Spanish in some areas, which opens a clear door to provide value from more culturally and linguistically adapted proposals.

In short, we return with the feeling that Latin America is a vibrant region, with a community passionate about gaming and an industry in full swing, open to new ideas and alliances. Undoubtedly, a territory to take into account in the next steps of our international strategy.

One more step in the international projection of DeuSens

The participation in Gamescom LATAM is consolidated as another milestone in the path of DeuSens towards internationalization. The trip has served not only to generate new connections, but also to validate the interest of the Latin American market for solutions such as augmented reality for fairs, the development of immersive experiences and interactive digital activations.

Although it is still early to announce concrete collaborations, the prospects are promising and we value very positively the outcome of this mission, which reinforces the positioning of our brand as a relevant player in the development of creative technology solutions globally.

Gamescom LATAM 2025 has been a strategic opportunity to strengthen the role of DeuSens in the international market, explore new partnerships and show the potential of Spanish technology in the gaming and audiovisual sector. We will continue to bet on innovation and connection with new territories to realize projects that transform the way we communicate, train and entertain!
